Novastone Capital Advisors (NCA) is a global firm that provides structured, scalable solutions for the succession of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Through our Operator‐Led Search Fund Program, we partner with motivated mid‑career professionals to search, acquire and lead a small or medium‑sized company as Chief Executive Officer.
As a NCA Searcher, you will spearhead an up to 24‑month search to acquire one small–midsized company in Germany. You will receive financial and business support from NCA throughout the search and will be rewarded with a base compensation and vested shares in the acquired company.
SEARCHER RESPONSIBILITIES
* Establish a search process that generates sufficient deal flow to locate a suitable acquisition according to pre‑defined criteria.
* Manage the acquisition process with support from our Investment Management team.
* Step into the CEO role of the newly acquired business.
* Proactively generate and evaluate strategic growth options and business opportunities, developing long‑term strategy and 100‑day plans.
* Grow the business top line through impactful marketing and sales initiatives.
* Review product/service offerings, portfolio strategies and brand positioning, identifying gaps and driving improvements.
* Manage geographic expansions and implement market entrance strategies when required.
* Ensure profitable growth and operational efficiency.
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS
* 10+ years of professional experience.
* Academic achievement (Executive MBA or MBA preferred).
* Minimum 5+ years in leadership roles managing multiple teams across multiple geographies.
* Minimum 10+ years of proven track record running and growing businesses or business units in Germany.
* P&L responsibility.
* Strategic vision for a sector or industry.
* Strong motivation towards entrepreneurship.
* Fluent in English and German.
NICE-TO-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
* M&A experience.
* Consulting experience from a top consulting firm.
* Experience managing and operating an SME.
* Owner, Founder or co‑Founder of a start‑up.
* Experience in global business development or international expansion.
* Recent successful business transformation experience.
* Openness to learning, people and even failure.
SELECTION PROCESS
* In‑depth interviews, online assessments, business case presentation and jury review of investment thesis over several weeks.
* Webinars and materials to provide additional information and familiarise candidates with the program.
* Final Assessment Center with jury selection scheduled for February 2026.
