Job Role Overview
A role is available within a fund accounting department to assist in the day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be studying a Bachelor or Master's degree in accounting, finance or business and have basic knowledge of regulations pertaining to Alternative funds.
* The role will involve assisting in the accounting of PERE funds holding a diverse portfolio of investments;
* Participating in the calculation of the net asset value of funds on a quarterly/semi-annual and annual basis, including preparation for reporting packs under LUXGAAP or IFRS/USGAAP;
* Day-to-day bookkeeping;
* Assisting in the preparation/review of financial statements for audit purposes;
* Calculation of tax/VAT reporting;
* Preparation of needed reporting (client, regulatory bodies);
* Ensuring adequate and timely responses to stakeholders' requests;
* Variety of administrative tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Studying a Bachelor or Master's degree in accounting, finance or business;
* First experience related to PERE funds considered an advantage;
* Familiarity with regulations pertaining to Alternative funds such as RAIF and AIFM regulation;
* Fluency in English; any additional language considered an asset;
* Organizational and rigorous work ethic;
* Able to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks;
* Positive attitude and enthusiasm;
* Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel.
