Your role
By joining the Service Line People Advisory Services, you will become part of a growing, international team working on compliance-related software solutions in the context of Short Term Business Travel. As a Test Automation Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications by designing, implementing and continuously improving automated testing solutions. You will work closely with development teams to embed testing deeply into our delivery pipelines and contribute to a robust, automation-driven quality strategy. You will typically work on the following topics:
1. Designing, implementing and maintaining automated test suites across different test levels
2. Developing self-contained automated tests, including owning and managing the required test data to ensure reliable, independent and repeatable test execution
3. Developing test automation frameworks and tooling using TypeScript and modern automation technologies
4. Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
5. Contributing to the overall automated testing architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability and stability of test solutions in a multi-environment setup
6. Collaborating closely with relevant teams to improve testability and test coverage
7. Gradually taking ownership of automated testing topics
Your skillset
8. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium or comparable tools
9. Proficiency in TypeScript for writing and maintaining automated tests
10. Good understanding of RESTful APIs and automated testing of service-based architectures
11. Solid understanding of Git for version control
12. Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines
13. Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable pipeline platforms
14. Understanding of testing along the test pyramid or v-model is a plus
15. Commitment to test code quality
16. Basic understanding of SCRUM and agile development methodologies
17. Ability to work in a Linux or Unix-based environment (WSL)
