Your Tasks
1. You will ensure the timely processing of worldwide shipments in compliance with legal regulations and contractual requirements
2. Assumption of the role of customs officer
3. Independent processing and monitoring of all imports and exports (including in accordance with authorisations and inward/outward processing)
4. Ensuring compliance with all foreign trade and customs regulations (including preference calculations)
5. Preparing, checking and archiving customs-related documents
6. Monitoring/supplementing existing authorisations and their renewals
7. Communicating with authorities, freight forwarders, customers and internal departments
8. Intrastat reports (determining the activities required for Intrastat and implementing incoming and outgoing reports)
9. Price negotiations for freight forwarding services in consultation with superiors/purchasing
10. Optimisation of existing export processes and advising specialist departments on export and customs issues
Your Qualifications
11. Completed commercial training
12. Several years of professional experience in import & export/customs, preferably as a customs agent
13. In-depth knowledge of customs law, export control and preferential law
14. Very good written and spoken German and English, other foreign languages an advantage
15. Proficiency in MS Office, experience with ERP systems/customs tools (SAP, Atlas, Dakosy) is an advantage
16. Analytical thinking and structured working style
17. Strong sense of responsibility, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
