Responsibilities
2. Provide strategic and scientific leadership for pre-clinical vaccine discovery projects from concept to proof-of-concept.
3. Translate advanced virological insights into actionable outcomes for vaccine and analytical development.
4. Oversee concept evaluation, analytical method development and validation, technology transfer, and related laboratory processes.
5. Inspire and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
6. Manage project planning, resource allocation, and progress reporting to ensure timely achievement of objectives.
7. Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external academic and industry collaborators.
8. Ensure compliance with scientific standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Profile
9. PhD in Veterinary Medicine, Life Sciences, or related discipline, with at least 5 years of R&D experience.
10. Deep expertise in veterinary virology, including molecular virology; experience in vaccine development is highly desirable.
11. Proven leadership and project management experience (3–5 years) in a research-driven environment.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with creativity and a collaborative mindset.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English required, German advantageous.
