MyCargoGate Group is a leading logistics company specializing in cross-border eCommerce, headquartered in Switzerland with subsidiaries in Germany and Spain. With 95% of our business dedicated to customs clearance, we are at the forefront of ensuring seamless global trade operations. We are looking for an Customs Specialist (m/w/d) – 100% to join our team in Germany (remote). In this position, you will be responsible for the operational handling of customs formalities for international imports and exports. You will ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, guarantee proper documentation, and supports the optimization of customs processes within the company. What you will do: Prepare, submit, and follow up on customs declarations for import and export shipments Verify shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.) Ensure compliance with applicable customs and trade regulations Manage special customs procedures (customs warehousing, inward/outward processing, etc.) Handle day-to-day customs activities at the Frankfurt Airport customs office, ensuring smooth and timely clearance of goods Serve as the main point of contact for customs authorities and freight forwarders Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, procurement, sales, finance) to ensure seamless operations Provide support and guidance on customs and trade compliance matters Monitor changes in local and international customs legislation and requirements Keep internal customs-related procedures and documentation up to date Support customs audits and implement corrective actions as needed Identify opportunities to improve customs clearance processes Contribute to customs duty savings through optimized tariff classification and duty management What you will need: Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Customs, or a related field Proven experience (minimum 4–5 years) in a similar role, ideally with customs clearance experience at Frankfurt Airport Strong knowledge of EU and international customs regulations Proficient in MS Office and office management software. Strong communication skills in English and German (spoken and written).
