Major Infrastructure Project – NSW
Tier-1 Engineering Contractor | Major Energy & Infrastructure Works
Location: Cooma (office-based)
Project Site: Regional NSW (approx. 2.5 hours from office)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension / T2P.
The Opportunity
Atom a working with a leading international engineering contractor to find 2x Contract Administrators and 2x Senior Contract Administrators to support a large, technically complex infrastructure project in NSW.
Key Responsibilities
* Full lifecycle pre- and post-contract administration
* Management of subcontractor packages, variations, progress claims and EOTs
* Supporting claims preparation, assessment, and dispute resolution
* Close collaboration with engineering, project, and site teams
* Strong background within mechanical & electrical (M&E) scopes of work
About You
Contract Administrator
* Solid experience on major infrastructure or complex engineering projects
* Strong grounding in commercial and contractual principles
* Confident managing subcontractors, variations, and claims
* Ability to clearly explain projects worked on and responsibilities held
Senior Contract Administrator
* Proven experience operating autonomously on large-scale projects
* Strong track record managing claims, disputes, and subcontractor performance
* Commercial leadership mindset with strong stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable mentoring junior commercial staff

* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Experience working across office and site-based environments
* Mechanical or Electrical background highly regarded
* Engineering-aligned CAs with strong QS/commercial capability encouraged
Working Arrangement
* Office based in Cooma
* Regular site engagement (regional NSW)
* Target rotation (flexible):
o 5 days office
o 5 days site
o 5 days work from home
* Structured options such as week-on / week-off / remote also considered
