(Senior) Legal Counsel - Antitrust (m/f/d) – REF88347X, Hanover, Germany. Join Continental’s Central Law Department to provide expert antitrust legal counsel within the Tire Group Sector, supporting contract negotiation, M&A, cartel litigation, antitrust investigations, and compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities
 * Review, analyze, negotiate contracts and agreements (horizontal & vertical aspects) for suppliers, licenses, and cooperation agreements.
 * Assess market dominance and evaluate competitive practices.
 * Structure and participate in meetings with competitors and other stakeholders.
 * Support M&A transactions, including merger‑control filings.
 * Handle cartel litigation and antitrust investigations.
 * Represent Continental in antitrust‑related panels, roundtables, and task forces.
 * Develop and implement antitrust‑related contract standards.
 * Communicate with antitrust authorities and collaborate with the compliance department.
 * Manage external antitrust counsel and associated spend.
 * Attend legal and business meetings to discuss pending and upcoming antitrust projects.
 * Monitor legal landscape and report on changes and trends.
Qualifications
 * Fully qualified lawyer with bar admission or comparable qualification.
 * Several years’ experience in antitrust matters (horizontal & vertical aspects, market dominance, cartel litigation, investigations, due diligence).
 * Experience in the tire industry is a plus.
 * Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation ability, and intercultural competence.
 * Business‑fluent German and English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
 * Demonstrated legal knowledge in antitrust and related areas such as M&A, IP, and commercial law.
 * Strategic thinking, organizational and analytical skills.
 * Team player with willingness to travel.
