Cyber Security Coordinator (Germany) (m/f/d)
Reporting to the Director of Cybersecurity, the Cyber Security Coordinator (Germany) (m/f/d) is responsible for supporting the company-wide cybersecurity program with a focus on operations in Germany. This position leads NIS2 and other cyber related compliance activities, cyber compliance initiatives, cyber incident response. The Cyber Security Coordinator conducts cyber investigations, leads and coordinates mitigation efforts, performs high level forensic analysis with external cyber security vendors. The Cyber Security Coordinator also acts as a security officer for IT and other teams. The Cyber Security Coordinator combines in-depth, hands-on, technical cyber knowledge with compliance, communication and coordination skills to protect Mercer from cyber threats while meeting the business needs of the organization.
Your tasks
* You will monitor information security events, detect and respond to alerts and incidents, and ensure the security of Mercer's data and systems on premise and in the cloud
* You will implement and support a cloud-enabled security architecture and deploy appropriate security tools
* You will support the implementation of the security awareness program, develop training and exercises, develop, plan and execute awareness campaigns, report on the results and make recommendations
* Support the development, documentation, testing, implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, standards, processes, methods and controls
* You will stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity and threat landscape, analyze industry trends and identify potential impacts to Mercer's technical systems and operations
Your profile
* You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science or another equivalent degree in the field of
* Information Technology/Cybersecurity and at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in cybersecurity. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Proven experience in security operations, experience with a Security Operations Center (SOC) and certifications in information security are a plus (CISSP, CISA, GIAC, etc.)
* You have experience in conducting end-user security awareness training and testing and good knowledge of modern cloud-based collaboration and productivity tools. NIS2, KRITIS and other cyber-related laws in Germany are well known to you. Experience with compliance with these regulations should be available
* Knowledge of Google Workspace is an advantage
