Digital Portfolio Sales Director (m,f,d)

Jeppesen is seeking a Digital Portfolio Sales Director who will be responsible for planning, developing and managing competitive sales campaigns across Europe. Location: Neu-Isenburg, Germany.

The role:

This position will be instrumental with proactively executing sales and delivery activities to customers within the assigned region.

The role will be hybrid working with an expectation to be onsite 1-2 days per week when not visiting clients. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Please note the role is not an executive role but individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive sales and campaign activities to successful completion by integrating multiple aspects of the customers' needs in a consultative manner
2. Craft campaign specific strategies, procure resources and secure management commitment to ensure successful execution
3. Create metrics to monitor campaign project status and budget requirements
4. Initiate, maintains and advance customer relationships and work to be accepted as a trusted business partner by the customer
5. Establish, maintain and expand network to address customer needs and keep lines of communication open
6. Develop customer solutions by coordinating and integrating with internal and external processes and divisions to provide a competitive advantage and to foster business growth with acceptable margins
7. Identify future business opportunities and promote the value of Boeing portfolio and partnership
8. Develop strong relationships within Jeppesen with the aim to partner, engage, pursue, and win new business with new and existing customers
9. Lead preparation of proposals by developing themes and discriminators and ensures correct members and resources are included in the team
10. Recommend alternative means of compliance to customer requests
11. Review and contribute to the final draft materials
12. Challenge recommended scope and cost to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
13. Lead negotiations and finalize commitments, ensuring mutual benefit to the customer and Boeing by interfacing directly with customer decision-makers and influencers
14. Leverage detailed understanding of both customer and Jeppesen needs and resources to find areas of alignment and integration
15. Obtain commitment within parameters approved by management
16. Coordinate packaging of Jeppesen and Industry products and knowledge into complete solutions that meets customer needs
17. Leverage company resources by building and leading a capture team to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage and foster business growth by using a comprehensive understanding (breadth and depth) of multiple Digital and Jeppesen products and services, process and operations and resources
18. Lead the approval process by advocating the customer requirements and selling the business case to management to ensure quality deal. Balances the enterprise, business unit and customer goals to meet and drive Long Range Business Plan (LRBP)

Required Qualifications:

19. Proven track record as a successful customer facing professional with strong experience working within Sales & Marketing
20. Prior experience interfacing with senior executive leadership
21. Ability to quickly build credibility and trust with customers
22. Prior experience managing competitive domestic or international sales campaigns
23. Commercial acumen with an understanding of how to create mutual benefits for both customer and business
24. Competent in Microsoft Office and SalesForce.com
25. Prior experience across technology sales/data systems advantageous particularly in the aviation industry ( commercial airlines )
26. Academic degree (Bachelors or equivalent required)
27. Language: Fluent in English in speaking and writing
28. Willingness to travel

Preferred (nice to have) Qualifications:

29. Languages: Fluent in Spanish or French

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the EU, Germany. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the Germany. Jeppesen will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labor sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level.
