This position is available on a fixed-term basis for 6 months beginning in April with 38 hours per week.

Your main tasks and responsibilities
1. This Master’s project is intended to complement your education and provide you with insight into the work and activities of the R&D department of a pharmaceutical company.
2. The project should last 6 months, and supervision of a master’s thesis on the topic of “Process digitalization & automation” is offered
3. Supporting the Vienna R&D team with the following tasks: Expansion of the digital laboratory environment Development of automated workflows for novel and established unit operations Developing and applying process models for advanced process control Validation of the developed tools and interpretation of the results Documentation within the scope of the above-mentioned tasks
Your expertise and ideal skill set
4. Student with a scientific or process engineering background, preferably in the fields of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar
5. Interest in writing a master’s thesis on “Process digitalization & automation”
6. Mandatory lab courses during the studies are completed
7. Interest in learning new methods
8. High motivation and willingness to learn
9. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
10. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
11. Team player
12. High interest in acquiring experience in the research and development department of a pharmaceutical company
13. Personal responsibility, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
