Marketing Manager – DACH (German native) At Gradyent we're looking for a Marketing Manager – DACH (German native) to join our team. Full-time · Berlin About Us Gradyent is a leading software provider that helps cities and industry decarbonise faster by digitising, optimising, and transforming their heating grids with our Digital Twin Platform. Providing heating for homes, buildings, and industry accounts for roughly 50% of global energy consumption. Heating is one of the largest opportunities in the world to decarbonise. We believe that digital and data play a key role in this transformation and that traditional tooling for District Heating and Industrial Steam Grids has been insufficient. The team consists of 120 energy specialists, engineers, data scientists and top-tier consulting alumni and we have two offices: one in Rotterdam and one in Berlin. We’re backed by investors Blue Earth Capital, SEB Greentech Ventures, Capricorn Partners, Eneco, ENERGIIQ, and Helen Ventures and recently raised Series B. We won the “Sustainability Pioneer” award of the Deloitte Fast50 2024. We are scaling the platform globally and looking for a Marketing Manager DACH (native German speaker) to join our marketing team. What You Will Do You will apply your marketing skills to work on one of the biggest challenges of our time, reducing CO2 emissions, in an international and ambitious climate tech scaleup. The aim is to make our (future) customers aware, and to educate them on, how our real-time Digital Twin Platform enables them to optimise, decarbonise and transform their heating grid. You will be promoting the use of digital solutions to energy companies in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). You’ll do that by making appealing campaigns and content for district heating leaders of energy companies in DACH and share it through the right channels. Besides, you’ll work on some projects for the global marketing team to further improve our content, distribution, and processes. It’s an entrepreneurial role, in which you get to build new campaigns and processes. You’ll enjoy a lot of freedom and work with many people in and outside the company. The Team You will be part of Gradyent’s international marketing team and the regional DACH team. You’ll be reporting into the Head of Marketing & Communications. The marketing team currently consists of a growth marketeer, a content marketeer, a product marketing & brand manager, a marketing manager Nordics and a marketing manager Industry. Besides, we work with several freelancers in design, copywriting and website development. They mostly work in Rotterdam. You will also closely work together with the DACH business development, solution consultant and customer success teams in Berlin. Responsibilities GTM Planning: Develop marketing and communication plans for the DACH region by working closely with the team: defining the market’s buyer personas, segments, value proposition, informational needs, key messages and channels. Campaigns: Develop and run ABM-, LinkedIn campaigns and nurture flows using HubSpot to distribute the content to the right people, testing formats and messaging and track results. Events & Partnerships: Realize our branded presence at heating sector events, and partner with sector organisations, energy media and customers on joint communication. Content: Select the right content available for your market and identify gaps that we need to create new content for. Make appealing content, such as articles, videos, whitepapers, customer stories, LinkedIn posts and webinars and manage localization of the global content to German. Trends & Insights: Work closely together with our business development team to stay up to date on the latest market trends and events in the heating sector and understand why our customers work with Gradyent. What You Bring 5-15 years relevant hands-on marketing experience in B2B marketing, preferably marketing to an engineering audience in a software company. German native and business fluent in English. Strong affinity with sustainability and energy. Experience setting up or driving marketing for a market or region and working in close partnership with sales. Drive to really understand the needs of (future) customers, experience with making appealing content that addresses those needs and with writing compelling copy. Solid experience with LinkedIn and ABM to effectively reach your target audience, using HubSpot (or a comparable CRM system). Ability to multi-task, plan ahead and keep the overview. Soft skills to thrive and enjoy a high-paced scale up environment: Positive, dynamic/high-energy and flexible personality, the ability to cope with changing scopes and solid problem-solving skills. Proactive, entrepreneurial, results-oriented attitude with a great sense of ownership. Able to work independently whilst aligning with the broader team on goals & expectations. Open to give and receive feedback. You’re able to maintain a high quality of work while keeping speed – while you want to have the goal and strategy straight, you’re geared toward action. What We Offer Being part of a very ambitious scale-up phase: recently raised Series B from an international consortium of investors in the sustainable energy industry. The chance to have a direct impact on sustainability and energy transition. An international, inspiring environment of brilliant, fun, creative professionals.
