In Kiel, Thales develops modern and tailored communication systems for military surface and underwater vessels. As a As a Integration and Verification Manager (m/f/d), you will be part of our expert team. Here, you will have the opportunity to integrate devices and subsystems into a secure communication solution and bridge the gap between naval, systems engineering, and modern information technology. We are looking for both technical experts and process- and tool-oriented generalists.
Your mission
* Organize and coordinate the interaction between SW development teams (German and French) and system engineering
* Ensure that the solution/product meets all specified requirements as outlined in the integration plan
* Establish and follow a defined test strategy, Having in mind the system functional chains for which the solution/product you are testing is a contributor
* Execute test sequences using pre-written scripts or manual testing methods, and compile the corresponding reports.
* Develop further test sequences and recommend the appropriate test equipment and software tools to ensure effective test execution
* Interpret test results, debug logs if necessary and report the issues to the software development teams or SE teams for issue resolution
* Automate the testing procedures when feasible to improve the efficiency of verification and validation activities
We look forward to this
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the area of Science/Engineering or equivalent
* Several years of creditable work experience, along with a solid understanding of systems engineering procedures and methods, as well as experience in system engineering for defense-related projects, would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of: Linux, Bash scripting, REST APIs, Virtualisation, Containerization, VoIP protocols (SIP + RTP), VoIP components (IPBX, SBC)
* Programming language such as Python / Java
* Test automation principals Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
* Analytical approach and intercultural competence
