Your Role
1. Plan and execute projects in the ophthalmic field (e.g. new products, process improvements, layout).
2. Define project scope, milestones, schedules including critical path, and resource needs; maintain and update project plans.
3. Coordinate interdisciplinary teams and activities (R&D, Engineering, Production, QA/RA, Supply Chain, IT, Marketing, external interfaces) in a matrix organization.
4. Identify and track risks, issues and dependencies; define and follow up on countermeasures and corrective actions to achieve targets.
5. Manage change requests and assess their impact on time, cost, and quality.
6. Prepare and lead project meetings; document decisions, actions, and progress. Create and consolidate management-ready presentations in alignment with project leadership. Maintain the high-level governance of the project.
7. Provide clear, structured status reports and decision proposals for stakeholders and management.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements in collaboration with QA/RA.
Your Profile
9. University degree or university of applied sciences degree in engineering, natural sciences, business administration, or a related field.
10. Advanced years of experience in project management or project coordination, ideally in optics, ophthalmics, medical technology, or a comparable industrial environment.
11. Solid project management skills: planning, tracking, risk and issue management, basic budgeting.
12. Basic understanding of or strong interest in ophthalmic lenses/eyewear optics and related manufacturing processes.
13. Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements for optical/medical products (experience with MDR/ISO is a plus).
14. Proficient with project and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project or equivalent, Excel, PowerPoint, MS 365; Jira/Confluence is an advantage).
15. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; confident in collaborating with technical and non-technical partners.
16. Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented way of working; high level of ownership and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
17. Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
