In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Dep. ETI / Embedded Systems, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.04.2026 at the following conditions:
1. 50% = 19,92 hours
2. Pay grade 13 TV-L
3. limited by 31.03.2029
Your tasks:
4. Development of architectures and algorithms for adaptation of time-triggered systems based on massively parallel hardware architectures
5. Combination of programmable logic, tensor processors and general-purpose CPUs for real-time adaption and scheduling services (e.g., AMD Versal platform)
6. Parallelization of scheduling algorithms using tensor processors and SIMD
7. Experimental evaluation in industrial use cases
8. Participation in teaching and administrative tasks (2 SWS)
Your profile:
9. Completed master's degree in computer science, mechatronics, or electrical engineering.
10. Strong programming skills (C/C++, Python; hardware description languages such as HLS or VHDL are an advantage).
11. Knowledge of computer architectures.
12. Knowledge of embedded systems.
13. Knowledge of developing systems with systems-on-a-chip (SoC) and FPGAs.
14. Knowledge of scheduling is desirable.
15. Motivation to pursue a doctoral degree and contribute to research in the field of embedded real-time systems.
16. Excellent English skills.
