KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* May act as the general counsel's primary backup and will work collaboratively with the general counsel on all legal and compliance (L&C) areas affecting the organization
* Manage and advise on all legal and compliance areas owned by the individual, and develop long-term strategies to accelerate the L&C team’s ability to protect and enable the organization in those areas
* Proactively train the organization on the L&C areas that the individual leads
* Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels (including senior management) to provide expert and business-focused day-to-day counsel across a broad scope of issues. As part of this, the individual will work collaboratively with the Local, Zone and Global contacts to leverage synergies and global expertise for the benefit of the local business and support the Center/Zone on Centre/Zone-led strategic initiatives including the implementation of L&C technology as well as collaborating on market specific requests from the Center
* Network with key external stakeholders, as directed by the general counsel, to advocate on behalf of Nestlé and create shared value. Key external stakeholders include industry associations, professional bodies, community groups
* Identify and exploit cost-saving opportunities whilst maintaining quality and ensuring that L&C solutions in their area of responsibility are standardized and systematized to the extent possible -- considering the differing needs of the various businesses and the legal digital tools available
* As applicable, develop and manage other members of the L&C team
* Other specific key outputs may be required if the individual is performing a specialist role
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
* Must have passed the bar exams and be a member in good standing of the Philippine Bar
* At leastyears experience of legal business partnering with internal clients
* Prior experience in a law firm or Government Office (NPC, SEC, IPS, Courts, RTC, SC COA)
* Has developed strong external legal network especially in emerging legal areas such as Competition Law, Data Privacy, and intellectual property
* Prior experience on food laws, consumer protection laws and procurement
