Job Scheduling SME – Infrastructure (f/m/d)
We are looking for a highly experienced Job Scheduling Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our infrastructure team on a FTC contract. The focus is on operating and enhancing batch scheduling services using UC4 (Automic Workload Automation). Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) is a plus. This role is key to automation consulting, incident resolution, and job orchestration across hybrid IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and optimize batch scheduling with UC4 (Automic Workload Automation)Job Scheduling/Workload Automation
* Optionally support scheduling with Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ)
* Analyze job failures and proactively reduce incident frequency
* Provide 24/7 on-call support and work within staggered hours (07:00–18:00)
* Advise teams on automation and job orchestration strategies
* Ensure compliance with SLAs, security, and audit requirements
* Coordinate patching and administration of scheduling platforms
Required Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with UC4 (Automic Workload Automation) Job Scheduling/Workload Automation
* Strong skills in job configuration, dependencies, and workflow orchestration
* Proficient in UC4 scripting and secure file transfer setup
* Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs is a plus
* Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows
* Familiarity with SAP IS-U and other SAP modules
* Fluent German is a plus, English is a must
