About the Role
Working collaboratively with the in market teams including sales, marketing and operations, the role will be accountable for ensuring the supply process runs smoothly, that stock levels are optimised and underpinned with good security of supply/supply chain resilience. The role holder is also accountable for optimising supplier relationships within the market in order to create market differentiators and to maximise mutual value from inception of product, right through any product transition and ultimately product end-of-life.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Development and execution of the local supply chain strategy ensuring alignment with the both the groups and in market companies’ strategies, goals and values.
* Leadership of market of supply chain activities, including supply chain compliance, sustainability and social value, supply chain risk and procurement, while ensuring alignment with the groups central supply chain activities.
* Through strong visible and collaborative leadership, creates a cultural shift that fosters a seamless working environment across the business and with key functions such as legal, sales, marketing and operations, as well as vertically into the supply chain.
* Ensuring a relentless focus on customer obsession by the team and the supply chain, driving customer confidence in our continued ability to deliver on expectations and in the delivery of differentiated services and products.
* Development and reporting of supply chain KPI’s and improvement plans that underpin a high performing and agile function that’s aligned to the business’s success and customer obsession.
People and Capability
* Leadership and development of an in market leading renewables supply chain function, that attracts, develops and retains the right talent and capabilities within the business.
* Assessment and development of team in line with central supply chain capability framework and associated activities.
* Ensures the correct deployment of resources to meet all customer requirements, ensuring a consistently high standard of performance is expected and achieved from Procurement staff.
* Leadership of the in-market supply chain wellbeing agenda that supports a truth and robust easy to access data and supply chain reports as a key enabler to effective business decision making.
* Creation of a continuous improvement culture within the in-market team that enables and drives process optimisation, compliance and efficient ways of working.
* Ownership and reporting of local KPI’s and improvement activities that drive stock optimisation, availability, security of supply, lowest cost of ownership and customer obsession.
Risk and Resilience
* Leadership of in market supply chain risk and opportunities, ensuring resilience within the supply chain and ultimately maintaining security of supply.
* Proactive engagement and reporting on in market supply chain risks and opportunities to both the business and key customers in order to create awareness and confidence in both the businesses and supply chain’s ability to deliver.
Sustainability and Social Value (SSV)
* Leadership on in the in-market Sustainability and Social Value Programme, maintaining complete alignment with that of the group, while ensuring that the brand is recognised as a market leading renewables organisation in the area of SSV with a responsible and reputable supply chain.
* Engagement with external stakeholders and strategic customers on SSV matters.
Category Management
* Ensures team are working collaboratively with the central category management manager(s), contributing to and in the execution of business and customer aligned category strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with in market customer needs, in order to create new value and differentiating value propositions for customers and key stakeholders.
* Working collaboratively with the business taking a leading role in the Identification, onboarding and management of local content suppliers to enable the business to compete and grow within the local market(s).
* Work collaboratively with the cross regional category teams, supporting the onboarding and local performance management of strategic suppliers, leveraging the scale of the group to maximise value locally.
* Working collaboratively with the business to develop, negotiate and secure industry leading commercial terms that leverages the organisations presence, scale and ambition.
Demand Planning & Supply Planning
* Working collaboratively with sales, forecasting, demand and supply planning in order to optimise stock levels/working capital, while maintaining security of supply.
