We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Technical Operations (m/f/d) to lead our Technical Operations at the SPG site. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for managing production processes, product transfers, and technical improvements while ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a pivotal role in shaping long-term strategies, driving process optimization, and developing a high-performing technical team in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all Technical Operations teams, ensuring daily production targets are achieved with maximum efficiency and safety.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for capacity planning, technology adoption, and site optimization.
* Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
* New Product Introduction: Conduct pilot trials and ensure smooth transfer of new products into commercial production; define and optimize process parameters.
* Technical Advancement: Initiate and implement technical improvements, automation projects, equipment upgrades, and process redesigns.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, OSHA).
* Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain and further develop quality standards and support CAPA measures.
* Documentation & Standards: Prepare and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical guidelines.
* Team Development: Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technicians; foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
* Problem Solving: Develop technical solutions for production deviations, process challenges, and unexpected issues.
Your Profile:
* Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or similar) preferred; equivalent qualifications with relevant experience will also be considered.
* Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in production technology, ideally in the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry, with proven leadership responsibility.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and developing technical teams.
* Analytical Strength: Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
* Languages: Very good German and English skills; strong intercultural competence.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis, particularly to China.
