Senior Software Engineer, AI Model serving – Frankfurt, Germany Join Speechify’s AI team to build scalable, high‑performance backend solutions that power voice cloning, low‑latency text‑to‑speech, and our International Text‑to‑Speech platform. Speechify turns PDFs, books, news articles and web pages into audio so users can read faster, read more, and remember more. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain distributed backend services that deliver state‑of‑the‑art voice cloning and text‑to‑speech at scale. Optimize system architecture for low latency, high availability, and cost efficiency across GCP, AWS, and Azure environments. Own end‑to‑end model deployment pipelines: containerize models, orchestrate on Kubernetes, monitor performance, and iterate based on user feedback. Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and frontend engineers to translate research breakthroughs into production‑ready features. Drive continuous improvement: benchmark micro‑benchmarks, analyze throughput, and adopt new technologies that reduce latency and operational costs. Qualifications Proven experience as a senior backend engineer building large‑scale Python services. Hands‑on expertise with GCP, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Experience deploying high‑availability applications on Kubernetes and containerizing with Docker. Strong background in model serving, text‑to‑speech, or NLP production deployments. Excellent analytical skills; adept at performance profiling, troubleshooting, and scalability engineering. Strong communication and collaboration skills; thrive in a fast‑paced, flat organization.
