The German team operates as a high-performing country coverage platform executing complex public and private M&A, sector-focused transactions, and debt advisory mandates. The Frankfurt office is expanding its M&A investment team due to strong pipeline across mid- and large-cap transactions and increasing cross-border deal flow.
Role Summary:
Generalist M&A role within Germany country coverage, with exposure to a wide set of products and sectors:
M&A buyside & sellside
Public M&A and takeover situations
Valuation, modelling and transaction execution
Capital structure analysis and debt advisory support
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end execution support across public & private M&A mandates
* Financial modelling (LBO, DCF, merger models), valuation workstreams, process management
* Preparation of investment materials, marketing documentation, board materials
* Market, industry and strategic analyses for German and cross-border clients
* Collaborate with seniors on client interactions, pitches, and transaction structuring
* Support debt advisory mandates through capital structure and financing analysis
* Work closely with international sector teams on cross-border situations
Candidate Requirements
* 1–3 years of experience in M&A or strong corporate finance roles (investment banking, elite boutiques, Big 4 TAS, or selective PE/consulting backgrounds)
* Strong execution toolkit: modelling, valuation, process coordination
* Solid understanding of German market dynamics; German fluency required
* Ability to operate in a generalist environment across multiple sectors
* High attention to detail, strong client-handling mindset, and ability to deliver under time pressure
* Motivated to develop long-term within a global advisory & principal investment platform
