Driving the commodity strategy together with your commercial partner for your assigned material field with a focus on Cost and Value Engineering, (Supplier) Portfolio Management, Innovation, Sustainability and Supplier Quality. Driving the standardization and sustainable specification of components and technologies in line with product, cost and environmental targets. Supporting Siemens' sustainability goals through close collaboration with suppliers and internal cross-functional partners. Identifying and evaluating innovative solutions and products from suppliers to meet business needs. Promoting and implementing selected innovations together with cross-functional partners. Influencing the selection of preferred suppliers and products already in the early design phase providing technical expertise and cost information. Handling and implementing Cost and Value Engineering projects in cross-functional collaboration, deriving efficiency measures from cost and price transparency. Steering and executing of a preventive Supplier Quality strategy and coordination and driving pre-assessments and audit activities. Running and coordinating global technology and quality networks, ensuring exchange of information in adequate frequency. This is how you'll win us over Education: Completed master’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field. Experience & Skills: You have many years of experience in Engineering, R&D or Supplier Quality Management You have strong technical knowledge of cabinets, low voltage switchgear and their manufacturing processes. You’ve worked in cross-functional, international teams and understand the dynamics of modern supply chains and you are experienced in project management. Ways of working: You work strategically and systemically – but are hands-on when needed. You communicate clearly across levels and cultures and enjoy stakeholder management.
