Your Tasks
* scientific research tasks (approx. 55 %):Independent research in the field of social anthropology, participation in andconceptualisation of own third-party funding applications
* teaching duties totalling 4 course hours (approx. 25 %):Taking on courses in social anthropology,especially on topics such as work, market, economy and society, and globalisation, and relevant regionalstudies, including advising, supervising and examining students
* coordination of research activities in the working groupSocial Anthropology, including joint project applications,cooperation with partner institutions and public communication (approx. 15 %)
* organisational and administrative tasks, committee work (approx. 5%):Participation in academic self-administration

Your Profile We expect
* scientificuniversity degree (e. g. diploma or master's degree) in anthropology, sociology or a related subject
* completed doctorate in anthropo logy, sociology, or a related subject
* ability to design and conduct your own research projects
* experience with ethnographic research on market transformations, especially on land restructuring and its relation to labour mobility or financialisation
* ability to produce high quality academic publications
* ability to work independently, autonomously and with commitment
* ability to work in a team as well as strong organisational and coordination skills, e. g. in the organisation of academic events such as lecture series or workshops
* ability to write, present and publish academic papers in English
Preferred experience and skills
* teaching experience in the field of social anthropology
* knowledge of the Vietnamese language
* German language skills
* experience with public communication and third-party funding applications
