Civil Engineer - Road Design
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available to join a growing engineering team delivering innovative solutions in transport infrastructure and road design.
The Roads division is responsible for planning and managing complex transportation projects, including motorways, federal and regional roads and transport infrastructure. Projects take an interdisciplinary approach, integrating technical design with environmental considerations across all project phases.
The team contributes to the development of sustainable and future-ready infrastructure, helping shape mobility and urban environments for current and future generations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and planning of traffic facilities and road infrastructure across service phases 1–7 of the HOAI.
* Preparation of planning documentation in accordance with relevant technical standards and quality requirements.
* Independent project coordination and management within an interdisciplinary engineering team.
* Regular collaboration with specialist departments to ensure integrated project delivery.
* Supporting clients throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept and planning through to implementation.
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Civil Engineering, ideally with a specialization in transportation or infrastructure engineering, or a comparable qualification.
* 2 years’ professional experience in road or transport planning.
* Good working knowledge of planning software such as CARD, Vestra, or ProVI.
* Solid understanding of German technical regulations and engineering standards.
* Fluent German language skills (C1 level).
* Class B driving license for occasional site visits.
