Commercial lead germany – rare diseases

Purpose and Objectives for the Position:

Immedica continues to grow as a specialized pharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases and niche therapeutic areas. As our portfolio expands within endocrinology and neurology in Germany, we are strengthening our commercial capabilities to ensure excellent execution, strategic alignment, and sustainable market development.


The Commercial Lead will be instrumental in driving Immedica’s presence in rare endocrinological and neurological diseases in Germany, with an initial focus on Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), Adrenal Insufficiency (AI), and selected rare neurological disorders, including CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD), as well as potential future indications.


This field-based role is centered on building long-term, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across endocrine centers, hospitals, and relevant institutions, supporting disease education, patient identification, and sustainable market access.


In addition, the role includes direct leadership responsibility for Key Account Managers within the therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment of commercial strategy, customer engagement, and field execution across the portfolio.


By contributing to the local implementation of commercial strategies, developing targeted account plans, and coordinating closely with cross-functional teams, the role translates strategic objectives into meaningful actions across the portfolio.


The position supports commercial excellence by providing performance insights, supporting field effectiveness initiatives, and identifying opportunities to further optimize targeting, prioritization and resource allocation.


The ideal candidate combines strong customer focus with a structured, insight-driven approach and understands how data-informed decision-making and cross-therapeutic portfolio thinking contribute to sustainable growth and long-term sucess.


At Immedica, the Commercial Lead will be part of a dynamic and purpose-driven team, committed to making a difference for patients with severe, underserved conditions.


In present and future, the role will remain a key driver and contributor within the local cross-functional team, while also acting as an active partner in collaboration with the Immedica Global Team and colleagues across country borders, sharing knowledge, insights, performance learnings and best practices to continuously enhance commercial impact.


Main responsibilities:

* Represent Immedica with professionalism and purpose, promoting awareness of our therapeutic solutions in rare endocrinological and neurological diseases to relevant healthcare providers and institutions.
* Develop, own, and execute structured territory and account plans, including customer targeting and engagement strategies, aligned with Country Implementation and Brand Plans as well as national and regional commercial goals.
* Lead and develop Key Account Managers within the therapeutic areas, including direct line management responsibilities, ensuring alignment on commercial strategy, customer engagement, and performance objectives.
* Achieve agreed sales, activity, and growth targets, contributing directly to the commercial success of the assigned territory.
* Drive patient identification and support diagnostic pathways in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues to improve access to appropriate treatments.
* Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including specialists, clinic administrators, pharmacists, and other key decision-makers.
* Ensure timely and effective communication of product value, availability, and appropriate use, in accordance with Immedica’s positioning and brand strategies.
* Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing to align field activities and contribute insights that help shape commercial strategy and execution.
* Analyze territory performance, customer segmentation, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for optimization in targeting, prioritization, and resource allocation.
* Monitor market trends, collect and share competitive intelligence, and identify local opportunities and challenges relevant to portfolio development.
* Ensure accurate, timely, and structured documentation of all activities and interactions using CRM systems, and provide regular reporting on territory performance and key metrics.
* Organize and support local events, meetings, and trainings for healthcare professionals, in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
* Operate with a strong business focus, applying a results-oriented approach to all commercial activities while upholding ethical standards and Immedica’s values.


Education and experience requirements for the position:

* University education in Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration and /or Health Economics.
* Minimum of 5 years commercial pharmaceutical experience.
* Proven experience in in rare diseases, endocrinology or neurology preferred.
* Proven expertise in strategic account planning and performance analysis and data-driven decision-making.
* Experience in launch environments strongly preferred.
* Previous experience in people leadership, including direct line management of field-based teams, is preferred.
* Initial experience in project leadership or informal team guidance is a plus.
* Strong understanding of the German inpatient and outpatient system as well as the regional KV and payer system (Austria is a plus).
* Strong analytical mindset combined with entrepreneurial thinking and customer focus.
* Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with a solution-oriented and proactive approach.
* Knowledge of local regulations and code of conduct in marketing & sale.
* High degree of flexibility and adaptability (about 75% travel, including overnight business trips).
* Valid driver’s license.
* Excellent German and English language skills, enabling confident interaction with healthcare professionals locally and effective collaboration within an international organization.
