Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sales Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for identifying customer needs and offering innovative solutions that advance scientific research.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, with experience in customer-facing roles and a solid commercial acumen. Native German speaker or proficiency at B2/C1 level is required, along with fluency in English.
This position reports to the European Sales Director Imaging and is part of the commercial department. The role is remote and focused on covering the territory of Southern Germany and Austria.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate CRM records to support structured sales processes, forecasting, and reporting.
* Actively engage in weekly funnel reviews, marketing meetings, and timely submission of required reports.
* Contribute to the creation and upkeep of a comprehensive Territory Plan to drive strategic growth.
* Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
Requirements:
* BSc degree or higher, preferably in a life science area with a biology background or related.
* At least 3 years customer-facing experience in Life sciences business within Academic or Government or Biotech or Pharma research laboratories.
* A solid commercial acumen paired with the drive to support our customers' research through cutting-edge solutions.
* Native German speaker or German language proficiency at B2/C1 level. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Practical experience in cellular biology, such as working with mammalian cell cultures.
Travel and Physical Requirements:
* Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
* Ability to travel and work away from home, including occasional overnight trips to visit customers and international travel to collaborate with teams across the company.
* Average 2-3 days per week with customer visits.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Manual or automated cellular microscopy by education or from previous job.
* Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce.com.
