Legislative and customer requirements present vehicle manufacturers with major challenges for future mobility. Increasingly stringent emissions legislation and the need for climate-neutral drives require efficient and predictive simulation processes as a pillar of engine development.
Your Tasks:
1. You will support the development of new combustion processes and contribute to 1D simulation.
2. The scope covers simulations of charge exchange, combustion and exhaust gas aftertreatment either in co-simulation or with the aid of a single simulation model.
3. You will use the following tools: GTSuite, Converge, Python.
Necessary Skills:
4. Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, physical engineering, information technology in mechanical engineering, chemistry or comparable fields of study
5. Good knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
6. Knowledge of combustion engines is explicitly desired
7. Knowledge of GT Power or GT-SUITE
8. Experience with test data correlation and engine performance prediction
9. Programming skills for the automation and improvement of simulation sequences (MATLAB, Python, Java)
10. Familiarity with co-simulation, design optimization and test tools
11. Independent working style and a high degree of initiative, commitment and creativity
Desired Skills:
12. The ability to interpret emissions data and knowledge of combustion chemistry are an advantage.
With appropriate qualifications/experience, it is also possible to work as a student trainee.
The salary is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.
