Lead Tax Advisor DACH Region
We are seeking an experienced and skilled tax professional to lead our tax team in the DACH region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of German tax law and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Optimize the company's overall tax position in the DACH region
* Ensure full and timely compliance with DACH tax requirements, including Transfer Pricing requirements
* Represent and defend the company's tax interests during audits and interactions with local tax authorities
* Maintain constructive relationships with tax authorities
* Ensure compliance with the company's Tax Control Framework and support the coordination and execution of global and regional tax processes
* Provide tax and transfer pricing support for M&A transactions and internal restructurings
* Manage the DACH tax budget and ensure that external spend and internal resource costs remain within target
Qualifications:
* University degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Law
* German tax advisor qualification (Steuerberater/in) is considered an advantage
* Extensive experience in a senior tax role within a multinational company, including leading tax teams
* Strong expertise in German tax law, including corporate tax, VAT, and indirect tax accounting
* In-depth knowledge of transfer pricing, with hands-on experience in German transfer pricing audits and documentation
* Ability to interact with German tax authorities and manage tax audits
* Experience working with SAP; knowledge of HFM is a plus
* Fluency in both English and German is required
