Responsibilities:
1. Lead Elanco's global sanctions compliance program, ensuring adherence to international regulations and updating systems like SAP GTS.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive global export compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
3. Oversee the Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) process and manage export license applications.
4. Conduct internal audits, investigate potential compliance issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
5. Provide expert guidance and training to internal stakeholders (Sales, Logistics, R&D, Procurement) on export control regulations.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
6. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience
7. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in export compliance, international trade, or a related field
8. In-depth knowledge of global export control laws and sanctions regulations, and mandatory fluency in both German and English

9. Experience working within the pharmaceutical or animal health industry
10. Proven experience with ECCN classification and export licensing processes
11. Hands-on experience with restricted party screening tools and trade compliance software (, SAP GTS)
12. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex regulations into practical business processes
