We have proudly partnered with one of the biggest names in global solar and BESS OEMs as they look to appoint their new Director of Marketing for Europe. This is the top job in Europe for all things marketing.
You will define and execute the European marketing strategy from the ground up, and management experience is a must-have. You'll have regional marketing teams across Europe to manage from Spain to Poland, and everything in between – aligning brand, product and commercial messaging across diverse markets. These will be the people working closely with you to turn your vision into success across the continent.
Of course, a background in solar is a non-negotiable. You'll need to have an opinion on DC-coupled vs AC-coupled storage. You'll need to know your string inverters from your central inverters. And you'll need to have survived at least one conversation about bifacial gain modelling. Unfortunately, if you haven't worked in the sector then this probably isn't the right move.
You'll know that this job will take you around the world. You'll spend time in some of the biggest conference centres and most glamorous business hotels in Europe - from the Moxy in Birmingham to the Holiday Inn in Zurich. And – as a bonus – this position is based in Munich, so you'll sleep in your own bed before hopping onto the U-Bahn to the Messestadt for Intersolar. You'll also spend some time in China every year to meet with your counterparts at HQ, reviewing new R&D developments and getting early visibility on product launches.
Since this is a Europe-wide position, you'll need to be fluent in English, and your German should be fluent, too. Additional European languages are very helpful, and if you know the difference between 睡觉 and 水饺, you'll do well here.
