CA-1 Europa, a next-generation
autonomous combat aircraft prototype
that fuses decades of Grob's composite airframe mastery with Helsing's cutting-edge artificial intelligence. The CA-1 represents a paradigm shift: a European-built, AI-native platform designed from the ground up to operate in the most demanding defense scenarios of tomorrow.
This is where your hands come in. The molds. The first forms. The prototype structures that will define what the CA-1 becomes. This work doesn't happen on a screen — it happens on the shop floor, with skilled hands, sharp eyes, and the kind of craftsmanship that no algorithm can replace. You won't just be building parts. You'll be building the future of European defense aviation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Fabrication of molds, models, and jigs from technical drawings for prototype construction Precise measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling of components made from wood and plastics Execution of design plans and dimensional specifications from the development and engineering departments Participation in the
initial build-up of new molds and components
— including next-generation platforms Coordination with design and production teams on adjustments and optimizations After onboarding:
wet lay-up lamination work (GFRP/CFRP)
— all necessary skills will be provided through training
YOUR TOOLS / QUALIFICATIONS Completed vocational training in a skilled trade — e.g., carpenter, joiner, timber framer, or comparable profession; several years of professional experience is desirable Excellent understanding of technical drawings and confident handling of dimensions and tolerances Clean, careful, and structured work approach Strong manual dexterity and good spatial awareness Interest in prototype construction and new manufacturing processes Experience with GFRP/CFRP, mold making, or lamination work is an advantage but not a requirement
