About Everest
Everest is an early-stage but ambitious AI-stack holding company that acquires and scales businesses by embedding intelligence across every layer of commerce. Backed by €12 million in funding, we are building an ecosystem where technology and traditional brands operate as one intelligent system.
We believe in doing, not talking. Everyone here is a builder, people who move fast, think clearly, and take ownership from day one. We value curiosity over titles, truth over ego, and progress over perfection. Feedback is direct, structure is flat, and results are what count.
At Everest, you are part of something bigger: creating the world’s first AI-native commerce group, where speed, creativity, and intelligent automation redefine how companies scale. We expect a lot, intensity, clarity, and high standards, and in return, we offer the opportunity to help build something extraordinary.
Our growth model is driven by mergers and acquisitions, powered by disciplined execution and investor trust. Financial control at Everest is not a support function. It is the foundation that enables capital, confidence, and fast deal flow.
We look for people with exceptional focus, pattern recognition, and discipline, qualities often found in those with neurodiverse strengths such as OCD or autism spectrum thinking. We see these not as quirks, but as superpowers in building the precision systems Everest depends on to scale.
Role overview
As Financial Controller, you will own the financial engine of Everest. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure clean, accurate, and timely group-level financials that inspire investor confidence and enable fast, disciplined acquisitions.
This is a hands-on, builder role. You will design automation-first systems, implement robust controls, and integrate newly acquired companies while keeping speed high and quality uncompromised.
What matters most is not how many years you have done this, but your ability to think clearly, act decisively, and master complexity in a high-speed, ambitious, and globally expanding environment.
What you will do
* Own accounting, control, and group-level finance operations across all Everest entities.
* Deliver accurate, investor-ready reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to align growth and discipline.
* Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance with Dutch and German regulations.
* Oversee financial due diligence and integration of newly acquired companies.
* Build automation-first processes using ERP systems, APIs, and dashboards.
* Translate financial data into commercial insight and clear recommendations.
* Partner with the CEO and leadership team to make finance a competitive advantage.
What we offer
* A high-impact role where finance meets strategy, operations, and growth.
* The freedom to build systems from the ground up.
* Direct exposure to founders, investors, and acquisition decisions.
* A flat, high-talent environment with no politics or bureaucracy.
* Salary with substantial performance upside.
* A path to grow into Group CFO or Head of Operations as Everest scales.
* Background in finance, accounting, control, or operations, with a builder mindset and bias for clarity and precision.
* Experience managing multi-entity reporting, bookkeeping, and audits across international structures.
* Deep understanding of how businesses create value and what drives customer and investor confidence.
* Strong analytical and commercial instincts, able to connect financials to operational and strategic outcomes.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel or Sheets, and strong familiarity with ERP, API-based, or automation tools.
* Knowledge of German accounting and control systems is a big plus, including:
o Kanzlei.Land / Tess for client document management and communication
o DATEV Unternehmen online for audit-proof archiving
o DATEV Rechnungswesen for accounting and financial statements
o Kontool
* Experience with JTL, Revolut Business, Xero, or Shopify is also a major advantage.
* Detail-oriented, consistent, and comfortable working at high speed without sacrificing accuracy.
* Extremely curious, driven, and ownership-minded — you want to understand every system and make it better.
* Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam to work closely with the CEO and leadership team.
