Job Title: Professor of Multimodal Imaging
We are seeking a researcher with an internationally recognized research program focusing on imaging and characterization of biological, polymeric and functional hybrid structures at the micro- and nanometer scales.
Responsibilities
* Develop and apply methods for spatial high-resolution imaging of 3D systems
* Contribute to the development and application of appropriate computational tools
* Strike a balance between method development and application
* Demonstrate a strong track record in research, teaching and acquisition of third-party funding
Particularly attractive is experience in the characterization of time-varying material systems and the development of novel electron- and optical imaging techniques. However, cryo-electron microscopy should not be the main focus.
Requirements
* A university degree and an outstanding doctorate
* Pedagogical aptitude usually proven by teaching experience
* A Habilitation or equivalent qualifications

The position will profit from a new research building focusing on life-inspired molecular systems (LEMS) designed to offer state-of-the-art laboratory space.
