The Faculty of Medicine at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Institute of Molecular Medicine is seeking a full-time Postdoc (m-f-d) in the research group Molecular Medicine of Signal Transduction for a fixed term of 3 years, starting at the earliest possible date. We develop and apply innovative, patient-specific preclinical models to advance precision oncology in colorectal cancer. Our aim is to better understand how tumors interact with their surrounding microenvironment in order to identify novel therapeutic strategies for patients with advanced disease. We employ a cutting-edge toolbox including 3D tumor organoid cultures, single-cell transcriptomics and CRISPR-based genome engineering that allow us to investigate tumor heterogeneity and cellular interactions with unprecedented resolution and to pinpoint actionable vulnerabilities for future therapies.
