About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team in Germany. This role focuses on supporting business‑critical applications, ensuring system stability, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to enable effective issue resolution and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide L2/L3 application support for enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and stability.
* Manage incidents, problems, and root cause analysis in line with operational standards.
* Monitor applications, track defects/issues, and ensure timely resolution within defined SLAs.
* Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams for effective issue resolution.
* Support system integrations, API‑based services, and interface applications.
* Prepare and maintain support documentation, dashboards, and performance reports.
* Participate in production deployments and perform post‑release validation checks.
* Ensure adherence to security, quality, and operational compliance standards.
Technical Skills Required
* Strong experience in Application Support within enterprise environments.
* Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL), data modelling, and query optimisation.
* Experience with REST/SOAP web services, JSON, and XML.
* Hands‑on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Rally, or similar tools.
* Understanding of authentication and security frameworks such as SAML and OAuth.
* Exposure to Agile delivery environments.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good to Have
* Support experience in Appian, a leading low‑code Business Process Management (BPM) platform.
Soft Skills
* German language proficiency (C1 level) is mandatory.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
* Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, processes, and technologies.
