Computer Scientist for the IT Service Desk (m/f/d)

You will strengthen an existing team from the IT Service Desk and Data Center Training group. The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT service requests within Ostfalia.
Area of responsibility
* Support with notebook problems in the notebook consultation hour
* Information on existing faults in the data network, servers and IT applications, recording of all types of fault reports, immediate solutions for system-specific faults, tracking of fault rectification
* Support with setting up, installing and commissioning computer workstations (hardware, software, network connection)
* Support with virus removal, installation of virus protection and IT security software
* Help with printer problems, support for copy-print devices
* Solving problems with the Ostfalia Card, the validation stations or rewinders and loss of the Ostfalia Card
* Clarification of technical questions regarding electronic examination administration
* Solving account problems (profile data, quota, data backup), forgotten passwords
You bring with you
* Completed training as an IT specialist specializing in application development or system integration, technical system IT specialist, IT systems administrator or IT systems electronics technician or comparable completed training
* You can also apply if you can demonstrate equivalent skills and experience acquired on the basis of previous work and are willing to acquire further job-specific skills to expand your existing knowledge
* Experience in handling, configuring and administering Windows PCs
* Team orientation and enjoy communicating with our employees and students
* Proficient in independent learning and working techniques
* Problem-solving skills, flexibility in thinking and acting
* German language skills at least level B2
* English language skills are an advantage
* Driving license class B (car)
