About the Role

KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Digital Grid Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Being part of the Grid Automation team, you have the full responsibility for successful execution of protection and control system design, planning, and engineering deliverables at the bay level for High Voltage Substations. You will develop technical solutions, comment customer specifications and engineering standards, checks and ensure compliance. Teamwork with the Project Management, other domain experts in the team, and suppliers in the field of secondary control systems, is your key to success. The projects you are working on are located all around the world with a special focus on German-speaking market.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Defining control and protection concepts in offers and projects, for High Voltage Substations
2. Defining work packages for detailed design, configuration, parameterization and testing
3. Defining and leading setup to develop solution as well as getting the team prepare for offers and projects.
4. Interacting and interfacing with Substation Automation and Cybersecurity Engineering to assemble complete Substation Solution as well as securing Quality Assurance scope of work and getting technical approval of defined concept
5. Conduct Trainings and technical presentations with customers, consultants, regulators, etc
6. Implementing continuous improvement process in System Desing and Configuration and parameterization as well as taking responsibility for quality, time, and costs of own results
What You Bring
7. Completed university degree in electrical engineering, automation or comparable education as well as long term professional experience with protection systems.
8. Deep knowledge in protection devices from vendors like SIEMENS, Hitachi Energy, SEL, GE for HV substations as well as deep knowledge of configuration tools for protection and control devices on bay level of a substation
9. Knowledge within different protection philosophies and protection test equipment
10. Good knowledge in communication protocols used in automation systems like IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850
11. Very good understanding of Energy business and the way it operates and fluent communication skills in English and German
