Thermal Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
Conceptual design of thermal control systems for space missions including:
1. Definition of thermal control concepts
2. Checking of feasibility, critical aspects and design margins
3. Definition of hardware requirements
4. Maintenance of thermal control system budgets
Analysis of the Thermal Control System (TCS) including:
5. Establishing and maintenance of thermal models (GMM and TMM)
6. Definition of critical mission environments (supported by trade studies if necessary)
7. Conduction of thermal analyses
8. Definition and conduction of trade studies to support thermal design decisions
9. Definition and derivation of thermal environments for subsystems of the analyzed subsystem
10. Definition and modelling of thermal test environments
11. Thermal Test predictions and Thermal Model correlations
Writing of thermal technical reports:
12. Generation of input for technical specifications
13. Presentation of the TCS design and analysis results in internal and ex-ternal meetings
14. Definition of thermal H/W components and coordination of thermal H/W suppliers
15. Participation on thermal test campaign
Your Qualifications
16. University degree or equivalent qualification in physics or aerospace engineering
17. Working knowledge of the main European thermal analysis tools (ESATAN-TMS)
18. Team work abilities
19. Several years of experience of thermal design and analysis in aerospace industry
Thermal H/W knowledge
20. Very good English both written and verbal
21. Good programming experience
An advantage would be:
22. Experience with thermal tests
23. MATLAB, FeMap and/or HyperMesh experience
24. Knowledge of German
