KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Product Management Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Development Engineer for Electrical Design, you will play a vital role in our global R&D team, focusing on traction transformers by driving innovation and enhancing product designs. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire lifecycle of electrical design, from conceptualization to implementation, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and emerging technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background, experience in transformer design, and the ability to collaborate effectively in both English and German within an international team.How You’ll Make an Impact
4. 60% Electrical Design & Development: Create complete electrical designs for new and existing traction transformers, develop and integrate new solutions to enhance product performance, and continuously improve the existing traction transformer portfolio, assuming responsibility for the final electrical design of new solutions.
5. 20% Technical Analysis & Innovation: Analyze existing and emerging technical requirements and standards in the global traction business, while driving innovation through research and application of new technologies and materials relevant to traction transformers.
6. 20% Documentation & Global Collaboration: Document and specify parts, assemblies, and components for manufacturing and quality assurance, and provide global technical leadership and support to traction transformer factories within your area of responsibility.
What You Bring
7. University degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Material Science; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
8. Extensive professional experience in the electrical design of transformers.
9. Proven knowledge of the traction business, including typical customer requirements and industry standards.
10. Technical expertise in electrical design for transformers and traction transformer technology, with familiarity in industry standards such as IEC and IEEE.
11. Strong professional skills in independent work, global team collaboration, and problem-solving.
12. Proficiency in English and German, with the ability to communicate effectively without a translator, though perfect fluency is not required.
