About the Role
HOLOGATE is looking for an experienced and quality-driven QA Lead (f/m/d) to take ownership of quality assurance across our immersive XR, VR, and enterprise training solutions. In this role, you will define QA standards, lead testing efforts across multiple projects, and ensure that our products meet the highest levels of reliability, performance, and usability.
You will work closely with Development, Product, Art, and Production teams to embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle—while mentoring QA team members and continuously improving processes and tools.

Your Responsibilities
6. Define, implement, and continuously improve QA strategies, standards, and best practices across projects
7. Lead and coordinate QA activities for multiple products and releases
8. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation
9. Oversee functional, regression, performance, and usability testing
10. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality from concept to release
11. Identify risks early and work proactively to prevent quality issues
12. Support and drive test automation strategies where applicable
13. Track defects, manage bug triage, and ensure transparent communication of quality status
14. Mentor and guide QA engineers and testers, supporting their professional development
15. Ensure QA processes scale effectively with product and team growth
Your Profile
16. 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including experience in a lead or senior QA role
17. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and QA methodologies
18. Hands-on experience with manual testing and familiarity with test automation concepts
19. Experience working with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, similar)
20. Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
21. Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams
22. Ability to balance quality goals with delivery timelines
23. Very good English skills; German skills are a plus
Nice to Have
24. Experience with XR, VR, gaming, or real-time 3D applications
25. Experience testing complex systems involving hardware, software, and network components
26. Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, or DevOps-related QA practices
27. Experience building or scaling QA teams and processes
