To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking a Senior Manager – Strategic Airport Planning to join us at the earliest possible date.
The Role – Senior Manager - Strategic Airport Planning
You will lead and contribute to national and international airport master planning projects placing a strong focus on user needs, stakeholder alignment, operational performance, and innovative solutions that add tangible client value.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to master planning and airside design projects
Conduct demand and capacity analyses for airside infrastructure and define related requirements
Translate planning needs into actionable project scopes, including scheduling, costing, and technical parameters
Develop and oversee project definition documentation and conceptual layouts
Support holistic airport planning, covering terminals, airside operations, general aviation, cargo, MRO, and support facilities
Prepare and review Airport Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans (ALPs)
Apply simulation, modeling, and analytical tools to identify capacity bottlenecks and optimize system performance
Coordinate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders
Mentor and guide team members within the planning competence center airside
Initiate and support business development activities related to airport planning
Your Profile
Degree in Aeronautics, Aviation Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in airport planning, including project leadership
Strong analytical thinking and conceptual design skills
Proven ability to engage stakeholders and manage project delivery
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in both German and English
