At Evotec's site in Göttingen, Germany, the Metabolic Diseases department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicatedSenior Research Assistant (all genders) E.MPD LabFull-time and limited for 2 yearsResponsibilities:Isolate RNA and DNA from human samples (blood, tissue) using high throughput laboratory automation/automated liquid handlersControl the quality of nucleic acids and libraries using spectrophotometric, fluorometric and electrophoretic methodsDevelop existing RNA sequencing workflows towards optimized, standardized, integrated and highly reproducible methodsSolve technological bottlenecks through strong scientific, experimental and data driven approachHelp maintain a human biobank storing primary samples (tissue, blood, plasma, serum, urine), RNA and DNA from thousands of patients in different disease areas (e.g. metabolic, kidney, immune & inflammatory disease).
