About the Role
Location Germany Bayern Erlangen Remote vs. Office Hybrid (Remote/Office) Company Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Project Entity Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Your day starts smoothly with your own focus time where you define your working agenda for the day.Soon, you attend the first team meeting in your project, where you discuss new change requirements from the customer on your FACTS plant design. As this change requirement has a cascading impact on several engineering disciplines, you take the lead and coordinate with several project engineers from other departments on the tasks and timeline. After you have aligned with the project team, you start your 3D model of the layout in your CAD tool and implement the design changes as discussed with the project team. In the afternoon, you set up a follow-up meeting with the project team to discuss the implementation and any findings you had during your work. The day ends with a short project status update with your line manager and some feedback talks with technical specialists in the team. How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Design and develop HVDC & FACTS layouts in a CAD tool based on customer- and project-specific requirements
2. Take full responsibility on primary engineering in projects, considering the topics of 3D model development, general arrangement drawings, electromechanical calculations acc. IEC standards, busbar and clamp design, earthing & lightning protection design, loadplan and earthing drawings, installation drawings
3. Collaborate and align on deliverables with teams involved in the 3D planning process (e. g. engineering, equipment manufacturers, commissioning, logistics), ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
4. Support procurement team to validate potential suppliers for a project and coordinate material supply with our suppliers and site installation team
5. Provide on-site technical support for our installation & commissioning team, if required
