Your Responsibilities
* Deliver expert gastroenterological and internal medicine care to patients with a focus on quality and safety
* Perform and oversee advanced endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, endosonography, and enteroscopy
* Lead and mentor assistant physicians and multidisciplinary team members, fostering professional growth and excellence
* Organize and manage the endoscopy unit, ensuring compliance with quality standards and efficient workflows
* Participate in on-call rotations covering endoscopy and general internal medicine services
* Represent the department head in clinical and administrative matters and contribute to interdisciplinary hospital initiatives
* Drive strategic development of the department including budget oversight and personnel planning
* Support academic activities such as teaching, supervision of trainees, and involvement in clinical research
Your Profile
* Board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology
* Extensive experience in operative endoscopy and broad internal medicine expertise
* Valid German medical license (Approbation) and excellent German language skills (minimum C1 level)
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams and organizational processes
* High social competence, empathy, and excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
* Strong commitment to teamwork and autonomous, responsible clinical practice
