The Role:
As an Aerodynamic Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor within a high‑performing aero team, shaping the next generation of turbocharger turbine technology. You’ll work across multiple OEM programs, owning aerodynamic design and simulation activities that directly influence product performance, efficiency, and cost.
What You’ll Work On:
* Designing advanced turbocharger components
* Volutes, turbine wheels, guide vanes, wastegate channels, and more
* Running high‑fidelity simulations
* Flow, heat flux, mechanical strength
* HPC cluster for heavy simulations; workstation + laptop for pre/post‑processing
* Generating turbine maps for matching and engine process simulation
* Creating turbine wheel CAD models and drawings
* Developing and refining 1D/3D simulation methods
* Constantly improving speed, accuracy, and workflow efficiency
* Supporting internal and external customers to optimize turbine performance
* Presenting technical results to engineering teams and OEM partners
About You:
You’re a hands‑on aerodynamicist with a strong turbomachinery background in the automotive industry with a passion for pushing performance boundaries. You thrive in a fast‑moving, engineering‑driven environment and enjoy taking ownership of complex technical challenges.
What You Bring:
* PhD or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Academic focus on turbomachinery or aerodynamics
* 3+ years’ experience in automotive (highly preferred) or related engineering fields
* Strong understanding of combustion engines and engine simulation
* Proficiency with aero design and CFD tools
* ANSYS BladeGen, CFX, Fluent, modeFrontier
* CAD expertise, ideally with Creo
* Strong analytical mindset and structured, detail‑driven working style
* Experience collaborating with customers and suppliers
* Excellent communication skills in English and/or German
