Doctoral Position in Macroeconomics
(part-time 50 %, E 13 TV-L)

The Chair of Macroeconomics (Professor Dr. Stefan Niemann) at the Department of Economics of the University of Konstanz is inviting applications for a position as a PhD candidate. The initial contract will have a duration of three years (with a possible extension). The successful candidate will also be enrolled in the GSBS doctoral program .
Your Responsibilities
* Assist in teaching and tutoring at the Chair of International Macroeconomics
* Conduct research in Macroeconomics
* Develop and apply quantitative macroeconomic theories and methods
* Publish in academic journals and present at conferences
* Collaborate on research projects with academic partners
Your Competencies
* Strong written and oral communications skills in English
* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
* Interest in research questions addressed by the research group
* A very good scientific graduate degree in economics or a related field (e.g. mathematics, physics or computer science) is mandatory
