Electrical Site Manager | Major Industrial Programme Mannheim Region, Germany | Long-Term Contract ENG Bauen is supporting the delivery of a large-scale industrial programme in Western Germany, focused on advanced manufacturing and high-integrity process systems. We are seeking a Electrical Site Manager to lead the electrical safety, temporary power governance, and LV/MV switching operations for a major greenfield construction project entering its main execution phase. This is a critical site-based position responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of all temporary and early-permanent electrical systems. The successful candidate will act as the responsible electrical authority for the project, overseeing switching activities, safety documentation, contractor interfaces, and DGUV/VDE compliance across the full construction lifecycle. The role offers long-term engagement through construction, energisation, and commissioning on one of Germany’s highest-value and most high-profile industrial programmes. It represents a strong opportunity for an electrical specialist to secure a long-term contract assignment expected to run for the next two year Key Responsibilities Lead electrical safety governance as the designated responsible electrical specialist (VEFK). Develop and enforce site electrical safety rules, switching procedures, and operational instructions. Oversee the full lifecycle of temporary construction power—including distribution boards, cabling, transformers, grounding, and protection systems. Plan, approve, and execute LV/MV switching operations, energisation sequences, and isolations. Produce switching plans, risk assessments, and method statements. Collaborate with engineering teams on SLD reviews, load studies, protection settings, and QA/inspection activities. Ideal Candidate Certified Elektrofachkraft (EFK) with eligibility to serve as VEFK under DGUV/VDE requirements. Recognised LV/MV switching authorization (Schaltberechtigung). 10 years’ experience in electrical safety, switching operations, or site electrical management. Strong background managing Baustrom systems and temporary construction power distribution. Proven ability to lead safety governance on large industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech, or semiconductor projects. Deep understanding of German electrical regulations and European VDE/IEC standards. German language preferred; strong English required. EU work eligibility required.
