Vectura Network Logistics combines six industry leading hazardous goods companies – Oxalis Logistics Group, Pöppel Tank und Silo, Johs. Martens Spedition, FTL, Dennis Dixon and Frerichs – into one integrated European network. Vectura Network Logistics, based in Hamburg, is the holding company for these individual companies, bundling expertise, promoting synergies between each business and actively promoting the development of modern, efficient and sustainable transport solutions.
As part of the professionalisation of our procurement strategy, we are looking for a committed and entrepreneurially minded individual with a pragmatic hands-on approach to their role.
As Senior Procurement Manager (m/w/d), you will drive operational procurement initiatives, run and develop processes and establish sustainable standards together with the specialist departments across each of the Network companies.
The role reports directly to the CFO and works closely with the management teams across the Network companies.
The position is suitable for procurement managers and team leaders in purchasing who want to take the next step into their first senior role.
Aufgaben- Management of tendering and awarding processes
- Development of resilient supplier relationships and professional contract management
- Identification and realisation of purchasing and optimisation potentials
- Standardisation and harmonisation of purchasing processes and product groups across different company divisions
- Establishment of transparent purchasing structures and uniform procurement standards
- Shaping of digitalisation in purchasing, e.g. in systems, processes and data structures
- Operational support for complex procurement issues as well as pragmatic solution finding in day-to-day business
- Leadership and development of a small international team of up to two administrative employees based in Germany and the UK
ProfilYou have experience in purchasing and would like to take on responsibility and actively shape an international medium-sized environment.
Ideally, you should bring:
- Degree in Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in operational purchasing, ideally within a logistics environment
- Comfortable to negotiate in German and English
- Negotiation skills as well as analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
- Interest in digitisation topics and modern purchasing structures
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Strong communication skills and ability to bring together different stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally to the United Kingdom
