Cockpit Electronics Business Development – Europe

Mission of the Role: This global leadership role is accountable for driving the execution of Visteon’s product strategy within the Cockpit Electronics portfolio for designated regions and customers. The incumbent will drive business growth by fostering strong relationships with OEMs and key suppliers, overseeing go-to-market initiatives, and delivering innovative solutions across key product areas—including infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters, central computing platforms, and connected services.

Key Objectives of the Role:

Business Development & Customer Engagement

1. Establish and strengthen strategic relationships with key OEMs and suppliers to identify and secure new business opportunities.
2. Lead the creation of compelling product narratives and technical proposals to support RFIs, RFQs, and proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives.
3. Partner with sales and engineering teams to optimize quoting strategies, ensure bill of materials (BOM) accuracy, and improve win rates.

Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution

4. Define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and feature sets tailored to various vehicle segments and customer requirements.
5. Align product positioning with market trends, competitive insights, and strategic ecosystem partnerships.
6. Drive PoC initiatives to validate innovative concepts and accelerate market adoption.

Ecosystem & Go-to-Market Strategy

7. Collaborate with suppliers and partners to co-develop go-to-market strategies that enhance customer value and differentiate our offerings.
8. Support marketing and branding efforts to elevate Visteon’s visibility and leadership in the cockpit electronics domain.
9. Represent Visteon as a product ambassador at industry events and customer engagements.

Key Performance Indicators:

10. RFI/RFQ Pipeline Growth: Development of a robust RFI/RFQ pipeline that supports achievement of annual New Business Win (NBW) targets.
11. Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Engagements: Number of PoC initiatives launched with new or strategic customers to validate innovation and drive adoption.
12. Market Share & Profitability: Measurable growth in product market share and contribution to overall portfolio profitability.

Key Year-One Deliverables:

13. Expand RFI/RFQ pipeline and secure new business awards.
14. Launch strategic PoCs with new target customers.
15. Strengthen strategic supplier and OEM partnerships.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences:

16. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; MBA preferred.
17. 10+ years in product development, marketing, or business development.
18. 5+ years with an automotive OEM, Tier-1 supplier, or SoC vendor.
19. Strong knowledge of cockpit electronics, including hardware/software integration.
20. Proven success in cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Global Vice President – Cockpit product line.
