We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Costing Analyst (m/f/d) within our Finance team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Motors, Actuators and Massage Systems. As a Costing Analyst (m/f/d), you will perform financial evaluation of all internal and external deliverables (quotes, projects, programs and engineering changes, make vs buy decisions) ensuring ROI and EBIT thresholds are met. As a Costing Analyst, you will:
Collect all relevant information for a cost model - including BOM from Engineering, component pricing from Purchasing, direct labor and plant investments from Manufacturing Engineering, project costs from PM, and standards from Finance
Be responsible for documenting change history on project profitability
Support capital investment review and approval requirements in coordination with Controllers
University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years working experience in Product Costing / Cost Analysis within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
~ Ability to work on global teams, proficient verbal and written communication
~ Solid understanding of cost accounting and methodologies
~ Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Excel
~ Proficiency in ERP systems, familiarity with Microsoft D365 preferred
~ High integrity and ethical standards, and an ability to handle confidential information
